Let’s Play: VTM – Bloodlines Episode 10

Wraith is the one World of Darkness title that I never really got much involved with, though a lot of White Wolf’s early crossover information tried to push Wraiths into the setting pretty hard (though Vampire was always their most popular title.)  What little I do know corresponds greatly with what we just did at the start here – Wraiths are bound to the world by their Fetters, usually people or physical objects important to the Wraith’s mortal life.  The pendant we brought for Therese is clearly one of this Wraith’s main Fetters.

“Spectres” are also a thing in Wraith; they’re the “evil” Wraiths, who have fallen to their Shadows.  All Wraiths have a Psyche, the remnant of the living self, and a Shadow, the dark part of the soul, and the main conflict of the game is the struggle between these two (much as vampires struggle with their Beasts.)

This also goes to show the huge lag time we had between some of our first recordings and the posting.  Holidays explain a lot of this (along with both Exetera and Brandon being college kids, meaning they went home for the Holidays).  Exetera is better about timely posting now, but this episode went live on Christmas Eve, and yet 2012′s Desert Bus had not yet run when recorded.
